Sneak Peak - Daily Mail Christmas Styling Feature

We were delighted to be invited to contribute to Charlotte Kemp's article in the Daily Mail article "All I Want For Christmas."

Charlotte asked us to come along and transform her farmhouse table into a show stopping festive feast of pretty.

We dressed the table with everything from sumptuous linens and stylish centrepieces to pretty chair dressings and table crackers.

We shall post a full report on our table design along with our own tips on how you can make the most of your Christmas table.

Read the feature in full in today's Femail section of the Daily Mail (Dec 7 2011) or see the article on their website Daily Mail - All I want for Christmas feature .

Summer Country Inspiration

As the weather heats up and we enjoy all that is wonderful about the British summer, I thought I would share with you some of my favourite summer wedding images that we have worked on over the past year or so.

It's a little bit country, a little bit vintage, but a whole lot of pretty.

Summer Country Weddings with Lavender

Pots of Kentish Lavender dress a wedding marquee for an English country wedding
The fields of the Kent Downs turn a beautiful shade of purple this time of year as the lavender fields burst into bloom.

Fresh or dried lavender make economical decorations for country and vintage themed weddings.

To celebrate this fragrant time of year some images where we have recently used lavender and lavender colours.

Enjoy!

Ramada Jarvis Tunbridge Wells

We were delighted to pitch up at the Ramada Jarvis at Tunbridge Wells last week for their spring wedding fair.

Springtime in Old Blighty, vintage style table decoration
We are the hotel's recommended supplier for venue decor and the fair is an excellent opportunity to meet brides at the venue and discuss their wedding day plans.

We decorated two tables and the lovely Sue from Botanical Florist in Sevenoaks provided the flowers:

Table 1, Springtime in Old Blighty.
White tailored chair covers with navy taffeta sashes.
Cream vintage style candelabra draped in pearls.
Globe vase of spring flowers teamed with wooden union flags.
Vintage China - teacups & saucers
Old Blighty paper chains used as napkin ribbons and also around the tea lights.
Place settings decorated with lavender and red apple favours.
Old fashioned cola and lemonade bottles and chocolate Easter chicks & bunnies complete the look

Globe vase of spring flowers and old fashioned cola bottle
Pearls draped over candelabra add some vintage decadence.
Union flags ideal for a Royal Wedding themed party

Old Blighty paper chains make cheap napkin ties with a hint of vintage fun
Lavender bunches and cotton red apples add interest to the table

Table 2, Claret,
White chair covers with claret sash and diamante buckles.
Claret table runner, centrepiece of red amaryllis
Mirror plate with diamante tea light holders and scattered crystals.
Napkins decorated with claret ribbon alternating with spotted claret ribbon and luggage tag and mini wooden heart place cards.

Claret and spotted ribbons tied to the napkins with place cards made from old fashioned luggage tags and mini wooden hearts
Diamante buckles add glamour to organza chair sashes
Red Amaryllis create a stunning centrepiece.
Diamante tea light holders and scatter crystals on a mirror plate add some sparkle

Big thank you to Sue at Botanical Florist for her lovely flowers and to Lizi, Tracey & Kieron at the Ramada Jarvis for their hospitality on the day.

Planning Weddings Leaves Little Time To Post

Little more than a year I go I posted a message stating that I could not believe it was nearly the middle of February and I had not blogged.
Well in 2011 I have surpassed myself by being two weeks later with my first post of theyear!
I have to say 2010 turned out to be much busier than I had anticipated.
I am pleased that my lack of blogging is and was due to being busy and although update blog is always on the 'to do' list, it always ends up at the bottom of the shuffle.

I would love to comit to a weekly post, but I fear it may go the same way as the commitment to a new year diet did on Valentine's Day. So I will tentatively commit to a monthly post and anything in between is a bonus!

To post about the last six months would probably take the next six months, so I shall paraphrase in pictures.
We are lucky enough to work at all sorts of exciting and interesting venues; castles, stately homes, marquees and village halls have all had the Classic Events treatment this year.
Here are some venues where we worked in 2010:

BMA House, Tavistock Square, London

Cooling Castle Barns, Rochester

Rowhill Grange, Wilmington, Kent

Dorton House, Sevenoaks, Kent

Eastwell Manor, Kent

Tyrrells Wood Golf Club, Leatherhead, Surrey

The Oak Barn, Studham, Bedfordshire

Acacia Hall Marquee,  Dartford, Kent

The Marriott, Bexleyheath, Kent

The Priestfield Stadium, Gillingham

The Preston Cross Hotel, Great Bookham, Surrey
The Corn Exchange, Rochester

The Landsdowne Club, Mayfair, London
